Apples and pumpkins have finally arrived at the grub club! I picked up two pounds of Crispin apples (a Japanese variety of Golden Delicious) and plan to use them to make apple cake tonight. If you know me in real life, please come over tonight and save me from eating all of the caramel frosting by myself have some.
I’m so jealous of all my friends who seem to find designer pieces at thrift stores for like $2. I was pretty excited this week when I found this brand new LBD and it fit perfectly — designer it is not, but at only $5 it was still a pretty great find.
I debated whether to include this one … these beeritas were definitely a “high five” on Wednesday night, but my wicked all-day hangover on Thursday just reminded me that I’m getting too old to drink on weeknights. Pass the metamucil.
It’s been hovering around freezing in the mornings for a few weeks now, and I noticed last night that Mt. Shasta is looking a lot less bare than it did just a short time ago. Soon this will all be covered — even the foothills — so I’m trying to appreciate the 70-degree forecasts while they last (even though they’re severely hampering my boot addiction).
Hocus Pocus is at the top of my Netflix queue. So. Excited.
